You've got to be strong to rip the strings off a bass with your bare hands but the bass has to be stronger to survive, proof of excellent build quality and craftsmanship....

Here's a video of two Amon Amarth shows from 2004 where you can clearly listen the ESH Sovereign played by Ted Lündstrom. 4 string model. In 2005 he'd change to a 5 string Stinger bass which he would use for a few years...
