With the traditional models VARIOUS and SOVEREIGN an innovative neck
attachment is used. All Esh designs include the innovative, patented Ultra-Contact neck pocket design; this offers the sustain of a neck-thru design, combined with the incredible attack of a bolt-on design...an Esh Exclusive!!
The advantages of a continuous neck (sustain and stability) are
connected in this way with the sound characteristics of a screwed neck
(fast attack). This special manner of processing was improved and
patented as U/C Bolt on system (Ultra Contact) of Christof Kost.
Thus increases the internal oscillation energy of the instrument and
combines thus bests of both neck construction worlds: Immediate Attack and at the same time unusually long Sustain.
Because of the high
expenditure this procedure is used except by Esh only from a very few
manufacturers.
